Commercial understanding with clinical credibility..

Christopher Brown MSc, BSc (Hons), RN is a registered nurse and senior healthcare leader with a career spanning frontline clinical practice, operational leadership, patient experience, service improvement, NHS procurement, clinical engagement and implementation.

He trained at Queen’s University Belfast and went on to hold senior nursing and management roles including Ward Manager, Matron and Head of Patient Experience & Engagement. His early career gave him direct experience of clinical care, operational pressure, complaints, patient voice and the realities of implementing change in complex healthcare environments.

Chris later moved into national healthcare procurement and clinical-commercial roles with DHL and NHS Supply Chain, specialising in wound care. His work has included clinical product assurance, framework development, specification design, stakeholder engagement, supplier interaction, implementation planning and supporting procurement decisions across national NHS programmes.

A recurring theme throughout his career has been the need to translate between different groups: clinicians, patients, procurement teams, suppliers, commercial colleagues and senior leaders. Chris has developed a structured approach to engagement that focuses not simply on gathering views, but on turning clinical and customer insight into clear criteria, stronger commercial decisions and practical implementation.

Through Harbour Resolution, he now provides independent support to healthcare and MedTech organisations across clinical and customer engagement, procurement insight, proposition development, implementation and adoption.

Chris is based in Northern Ireland and works across the UK and Ireland.
